Good, reasonable priced food in a cozy setting. Since it’s conception 10 years ago this bistro has steered clear of pretence and it has always remained relevant. The homely atmosphere, the fresh ingredients such as rabbit prepared in Maastricht-style, lamb and vegetarian dishes, the agreeable staff of waiters, and the lounge music all contribute to the old-fashioned cozyness that characterizes this place. The extensive menu (fresh warm vegetables, fries and lettuce served separately) is presented in old book-casings. The soupterrine in the logo is there for a reason, the delicious soups are a real treat. How about pumpkin soup with parmesan cheese and roasted almonds, or provence style creamy garlic soup? This bistro is one to remember, in part because the prices haven’t gone up since the introduction of the euro. The excellent value for money gets great word of mouth, the best publicity around. Groups up to 20 persons can be accommodated in the atmospheric ’Salon de Ceramique’ above the restaurant.
