In this sizable boutique, you’ll find fashion items for women and men. The store carries more than just clothes – shoes and other accessories are available here as well. Rogier and Janneke van de Meent receive customers in their store as if they were friends visiting their home. Shopping is made cozy again. Catching up with friends while enjoying a coffee, or shopping on a Saturday afternoon with a glass of wine – it’s all possible here. There is also a kids’ corner for the little ones to play.
The contemporary combination of casual chic and denim tough makes this store’s collection unique. The store’s space and decoration are clearly laid out, offering customers an overview and relaxation as opposed to most fashion stores. The store draws shoppers who wish to avoid the mass market items of larger chains. The target audience is highly educated and has an above average income. They are ladies and gentlemen who care about their looks and fashion, and like nice things. The blend of well-known and lesser-known labels appeals to people. By Malene Birger has some true fans.
Since the store is situated on the corner of the Warmoesstraat and the Anegang, there are beautiful store fronts on both streets. The Warmoesstraat is the most beautiful shopping street in Haarlem with its cobblestones and view of the big church (Grote Kerk). It also has an extensive selection of boutiques in the upper segment, and a great collection of cafes. The Anegang is developing rapidly and offers an extensive collection of retail stores as well. By utilizing rough and tough natural interior design elements and a reading/coffee table, a cozy and quiet atmosphere is created. The look and feel of the place is luxurious, clean, and accessible.
