Great books, many priced down, alongside other art books, literature, history, children’s books, cookbooks and gardening books. A large selection of budget-cd’s, classic music, music from around the world, and old jazz. They also have lovely arty cards, calendars, diaries the popular pin up calendars, and other articles from Plint. This shop has the largest Naxos collection in the North. Attributes It is always good to pick up a good bargain. Or a CD. At Kunst & Vliegwerk this becomes more of a normality than an exception. “Now I have to leave otherwise I shall buy everything” is often uttered. The customers are of all ages. Some come specially for Plint, while others combine a bit of everything. Understandably… if it’s not for yourself, then for another. With
these prices you can certainly give someone a surprise. Atmosphere Not only are the offers attractive, but the spaciousness is very pleasant. A lovely calm atmosphere in monument premises. Classical music is playing the whole day in the background. This building used to be a butchers shop, which is still to be seen by the light yellow tied walls and the stone floor. On the outside above the window you can see a bulls head and two pig heads on either side. Background The idea for this shop came from the previous owner. Obviously they had other plans and then Marga Hiemstra finally bought it. Indeed, it is wonderful to be amongst all these books and music every day, and have daily contact with the numerous people who come into the shop. Discount & News
