Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! True chocolate lovers will go crazy in this delightful store with an equally delightful collection of chocolate bonbons, chocolate gifts, chocolate milk, different types of coffee, tea, ice cream, and a great diversity of luxury chocolate wrappings such as etageres, stone pots, and dishes in all shapes and sizes. There are also fun bags here (made of paper or fabric). The bonbons come in an astonishing 48 varieties, and you can also get 20 kinds of 'bullets' here, which are the true showpieces: special bonbons that have won an award for their shape and size. There are also bonbons for people with a gluten- or nuts allergy, and a collection of bonbons that contain alcohol. There's also sugar-free chocolate.
Only honest, Fairtrade chocolate is sold here. Owner Cees Koen can do custom jobs for individuals or companies; think of luxurious chocolate gifts in a certain theme, as a relationship gift, or for a birthday. Restaurants and cafes can also buy attractively priced chocolate here, the so called 'horeca boxes', with 14 types of bonbons, especially for businesses. The crowd here is very diverse, ranging from young to old, locals from Groningen and people from surrounding villages and cities, but also frequently (foreign) tourists.
The store has a warm, cozy appeal, partly due to the wood one sees in the interior. The door is always open; everyone is free to come in to take a look, to smell, to taste, and to experience. The Folkingestraat is a very cozy street where a great diversity of stores, galleries, and eateries are located and where there is still such a thing as personal attention to customers.
Icecream by Italini, coffee by Catunambu, and tea by Lipton - and of course Visser Chocolade from Schimmert in Limburg.
