Don’t feel like staying in a large, impersonal hotel? You’re more than welcome to come to Hotel Nes: it’s small, cozy, and it’s in a great spot in the busy center of Amsterdam. The hotel draws a fun mix of visitors: tourists and businesspeople who wish to stay in downtown Amsterdam. Because Hotel Nes is small, the staff has a lot of time and attention for its guests. You can always ask them anything, including tips on what to do in town.
You can go anywhere from Hotel Nes. Most sights, restaurants, clubs, and of course the best shopping streets in Amsterdam are within walking distance! For example, consider the popular Utrechtsestraat, the Kalverstraat, the Bloemenmarkt, the 9 straatjes, the Staalstraat and of course the old town center. If you want to venture out further, you can use the many trams that stop around here. The subway is close as well, as are several bike rental shops.
Hotel Nes has the atmosphere of an old historic building on the canals, combined with Delft Blue artwork. The building has a long history that goes back to 1877. In 1988, Hotel Nes was officially reopened. The beautiful lobby with its fireplace is a delightful spot to recover from a day of sightseeing, shopping, or business in the capital. The staff here is very friendly. The delicious breakfast buffet (not included) is 10 euros per person.
Hotel Nes is a Green Key hotel. Green Key is a special environmental certificate for hotels. It means that the staff puts a lot of effort into reducing power usage and that they buy green products. The hotel goes above and beyond what is required by law, which we of course admire.
